Congratulations Katsuhiro and Mutsumi

My host familys' youngest son, Ka-chan and his wife Mu-chan, had the first Nishiyama grandson on May 1. He was due on the 24th of April, the day I arrived, but kept us all waiting until the 1st of May. They also kept everyone waiting on the name but finally the big reveal came and his name was announced the family.....

Congratulations Ari and Hiroki

My Japanese friend Ari had her frist baby, Reno, in March. I was lucky enough to meet her while I was in Iwaki. Thanks Mika-chan for helping me surprise them!!

Back to Iwaki....

Well 1 year and 9 months had passed since I packed up and headed home after 4 years in Iwaki. This trip back was a planned months in advance as a surprise for Chi-chan. Yoo chan was my partner in crime and he had the tough job of keeping it a secret from Chi...and he did a great job. I managed to surprise alot of people before word spread around town and people knew I was there. I visited all my favourite places, ate some AMAZING sushi, caught up with all my friends and did some shopping. I look forward to my trip back in November the meet the newest member of the Nishiyama clan :)
