1 sleep to go!!

Well with only one sleep to go, one would think I would be slightly more organised than I am!! As a result I have decided that this afternoon I will employ a tried and tested method created by my friends Shawn and Kristin. This method is known as Last Minute Packing (LMP).

Observe:
Step 1: Go through every single article of clothing you have and throw into a pile anything that's even remotely suitable.
Step 2: Try on everything in the pile formed by step 1.
Step 3: Be disappointed with your supreme lack of wardrobe.
Step 4: Resign to the fact that it isn't possible to attain new wardrobe in the next 24 hours.
Step 5: Settle for clothes you find "semi-acceptable" and try not to think about step 3.
Step 6: Shrink your clothes pile by throwing out your least favorites.
Step 7: Repeat step 6 indefinitely until you have a pile that will realistically fit in your suitcase.

Fingers crossed it works....at least all my clothes are washed and ironed (that's usually half the battle!)

Lost in Translation

My friend Julia just spent her honeymoon in Fiji and found a classic "Lost in Translation" board for my growing files.

Take special notice of the Parasailing options at the top of the board.....interesting....

7 sleeps to go.....

I can't believe how close the trip to London is. Mum and I did MORE shopping in preparation for the cold weather today. If anyone has any suggestions for cool things to do in London please let me know!!

Sydney

So I spent 5 days in Sydney last week. Saturday and Sunday where spent hanging out with Krista K (aka Huebs) at her new pad near Bronte. After flying in and hitting the Glebe markets we dressed up and headed out for some delicious Thai food and lots of catching up.

Sunday we power walked from Bronte to Bondi along the cliffs taking in the most amazing views of the ocean. It felt like summer finally!! The Bondi markets rocked - LOVED it!! It was a world of HUGE, oversized designer glasses and vintage clothes. Sydney people are beautiful and so different to Brisvegas locals! Not that I don't love Brisvegas...I do!!

Monday to Wednesday I spent at a "Managing and Leading High Performing Teams" course for work. Boy did I have some major light bulb moments....by the end of the course I felt totally prepared to head back into the trenches and whip my team into shape.

My friend Shawn in Japan posted this article....what would possess a woman to go through pregnancy and child birth that many times I have no idea.....I am still praying for twins when I finally decide to get married and have kids!!!...one preganancy, 2 kids - done and done!!! I like it :)

Julia's wedding

After almost 6 years, Julia Golobocov married Dayne Jamieson ending the single life of our favourite Russian "Golo-who" and starting the beginning of a "no more confusion with my last name" married life!! After a stormy, wet Friday someone up there (more than likely Julia's proud Dad) turned on a gorgeous day. The old Somerville chapel was packed with our beloved Dr D once again at the helm. Jules was escorted down the aisle by her Mum to a waiting Dayne who thankfully made it through the ceremony. We are sure he was blown away by how gorgeous Jules looked and lost it but recovered in enough time to say the all important "I will" and seal his future with a kiss.
The reception was held at the Rugby Club on the river in the city. What a great venue!! With the newly pink Story Bridge in the background we girls hit the dance floor to some old 70s and 80s classics all the while blowing bubbles and taking endless photos. By midnight, a shoeless group of old girls slightly affected by the amount of vodkas shots consumed - man those Russians can drink!! - staggered down the road in search of taxis. It was a great day and a fabulous wedding. CONGRATULATIONS JULES and DAYNE!!!
